Map of Philipines
My birth countries are the Philippines
and China but today I’ll tell you about Philippines. Well my country Philippines has been captured by other countries for 200 years and that is only because those other countries thought that they could rule over poor countries. You know what they did to us? My nan tells stories of when they stole women and took their children to get buried alive. With the fathers they just tortured them until they die. And that was for 200 years!!! Well until the Americans came. They said to stop torturing the country but they said “no” so the Americans went back to their country and made a big nuclear bomb to land onto their country (the enemies country) and destroy it. So the enemy surrendered and the Philippines was safe and sound. Of course that happened when I wasn’t around but it did happen. Well now talking about what Philippines is like. It is very hot there all year round and we have tan coloured skins. Our festivals there are giant lantern festival, Dinagyang and so many more. The Capital city is Manila and the President is Rodrigo Duterte. In Australia we would call the last name Duterty but it’s spelt like Duterte. The population is 103.3 million (2016). Well I hope you have learnt a bit of the Philippines.

My talents are playing the piano, singing, dancing and making new friends but I’ll tell you about one of my talents which is playing the piano. Well I’ve been learning how to play the piano for two years but sometimes I’m too lazy to practise. Well my mum taught me how to play the piano and now I know how to play Flashlight the whole song, Twinkle twinkle little star with two hands and a few more. It’s actually a bit easy but I still don’t know how to read the notes. Well only a bit. On the 9th of November I’ll be playing the piano in front of my class playing flash light and I’m so excited! It’s actually pretty easy to play the piano. It’s just practice makes perfect…well that’s what people say and I bet you would be like “Yes I know mum!” or “Everyone says that all the time mum!” I know but they are true. So why don’t you practice! And the notes for Flashlight are in this picture.

This is my Avatar. I have brown hair, brown eyes, red lips (which is lip gloss with colour), and my eyes are a bit small. I have no earrings though. Oh and also my hair is actually not wavey (sorry for lying). I love my Avatar!

Yay!! I’m so excited until tomorrow because we do this fun stuff. We have to get out of our uniform and wear light stuff like white T-shirts and white pants or anything close to white like a bright colour. And I’ll tell you why we have to wear light coloured clothes soon. But first I have to tell you the important stuff. One of the important things are that we get to run and do obstacle courses. Then when we have a rest we get splattered everywhere with powder paint and the paint will stay there that is why we have to wear light coloured clothes. That is why I am so excited!!! So all of those TPS people get ready for the colour run!! All of those people out there I wish you guys where at TPS so you can have fun but I’m sorry. Hope you children out there have a great time like us in TPS. Thanks for listening to what will be happening on Friday September 2017 on the colour run!!! (22/9/17)

“Mum! Wake up!” I said. “It’s time to go camping!”
“Ok, Ok! Calm down!” said mum.
Hi. I’m Elizabeth but people call me Izzy or Sissy for short. Today we are going camping and Yes I was the one who woke up my mum. I get sometimes very excited when we go on holidays and we are staying at the camping ground for only five days and four nights.
“Mum I already got all my things ready!”
“Ok good girl. I’m just checking if it is sunny or rainy when we drive to the camping ground,” mum said. “And it is sunny! Yay! Honey got your things ready yet?”
“Yes I’m ready.” Dad said. “Come on honey. Come on Izzy! Time to go to the car now!”
“Yay!” I said.
“Let’s go!”
(5 Hours later)
“We are here! Finally after five hours! Now this is the camping ground but it looks a little weird. I mean like it looks like that we are in the middle of the woods,” I said.
“Well it’s not that bad really. I guess so… Oh well at least it’s better than staying at home doing nothing eating potatoes,” said dad.
“Yeah it is better than that but I don’t really have a good feeling about this. ” I said.
So guys the only reason why I didn’t really have a good feeling about it was because some say if you are in the woods camping with no one else some one or some person would try to scare you like steel your parents or steel your lollies or even make sounds like “creek” around your tent haunting you!!!! That’s why I had a bad feeling about this…
I have now started my story. Maybe someone can finish it.
To be continued…

I think Tenambit public school is the best school in the world!!!! In our school we have the best teachers and friends!!! We also have good education!!!! Our Rules in our school are…. the 5 star rules, the Respect, Responsibility and Excellence. The 5 star rules are…
- I can listen
- I can follow instructions
- I can raise my hand and wait
- I can keep my hands and feet to myself
- I can work quietly
Those are our 5 star rules. Our respect rules are being kind, listening to others, speaking politely and all of those respectful things. The responsibility rules are keeping the school tidy, acting safely, making positive choices and all of the responsible things. All of the excellent rules are working hard, having a try and all of those excellent things. That’s why my school is astonishing!!!!

The book that I’m going to be talking about is “Give it to me, it’s mine!” written and illustrated by… Chantal van den Heuvel and Nancy Pierret.
It is about when Sam and his sister used to argue over a teddy bear or a watering can or a coat but then Sam’s little sister went into the woods cause she was upset with Sam and she got lost. Sam never knew and he started to get worried about her. Then he went into the woods to look for her but he got lost too. Then they finally found each other but they were still lost in the woods. They kept on wandering in the woods to find home and stopped to have a rest. While they were resting they saw a star but bigger than the others , and they knew it was their mum with a flashlight. They ran towards their mum and were so lucky they didn’t get lost. They went back home and Sam finally started sharing instead of being selfish.
I like it because it teaches you to share more and to be selfish less. It also has very good words so you can picture the book in your head. The illustrations are pretty good and very decorative.
I would recommend to tell this story to everyone so they will learn a lesson to share rather than to be selfish. They will also maybe think that the story is a pretty good story. I would also recommend to tell this story to kids that might have brothers or sisters or both. I might even tell this story to my little brother, cause he does not know what sharing means yet so I’ll tell him one day.
That’s why this story is a good book to review.
